Hanami Dango, also known as Sanshouku Dango, is a popular rice dumpling snack enjoyed during the cherry blossom viewing season. Against a pink background, a penguin is chilling below falling sakura petals while enjoying a delicious dango. This is a Limited Edition Art Toolkit Pocket Palette made in collaboration with artist April Wu (@penguinscreative on Instagram), a Seattle-based artist and stationery lover. This design represents her favorite season in Seattle, where cherry blossoms bloom all around the city, and she captures those scenes through watercolor sketches.
The collaboration brings together April, a blank note (Seattle-based online stationery store), and Art Toolkit (Port Townsend-based Art Supply brand) in a fun tribute to the Pacific Northwest’ delightful cherry blossom season each year.
Each palette comes with two original stickers featuring Cookie, April’s pet goldendoodle, enjoying his flower bed. A special mini print of April’s cherry blossom painting will also be included with each order containing this item. On the back of the painting, you will find a special discount code for your next purchase on a blank note.
Each palette comes with 28 empty mini pans for you to fill with your favorite watercolor from a tube. The magnetic tray and movable pans allow you to configure your favorite color palette to use when sketching or painting.
